Who We Are 

The Affordable Housing Investors Council promotes the equity investor's voice and perspective in the unique Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) partnership. It provides educational opportunities for investors and a forum to learn and share their insights on issues facing the field.

Through these activities, and the creation of industry best practices, we seek to preserve and strengthen the housing credit as an efficient and effective tool for developing affordable housing. Learn more

AHIC Best Practices

AHIC develops guidelines for underwriting and asset managing LIHTC transactions and portfolios.These resources are freely available and are designed to support direct and indirect investors and our syndicator and developer partners. 

They represent the collective wisdom of industry leaders and are designed to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and social impact of housing credit investments. Learn more
